Happenings in the studio
These are the newest of the acrylic paintings
I'm thinking about the noise in my head - chattering and memories and insights and images all taking up the space of silence!
Returning to painting after a long hiatus, but this time I'm using acrylic paints instead of my usual oils. It's a bigger leap than I thought, but I'm starting to get the hang of it after learning some tips and tricks from my painting peers!
Limiting myself to an ink pen and colored pencils I began this series of
doodles-turned-poetry-turned-birds.
The first series are lines or phrases from my poetry that I wrote over and over again
rotating the paper until a stopping point organically unfolded.
The second series are a bird motif that first appeared on my homemade Holiday cards,
and then I just couldn't stop!

Mirror Year
Throughout the year 2022 I randomly took a snapshot in the
